enmono  Did you have any problems as a company because you contacted us?

Kajikawa      There are a lot of challenges, but I went through another well-behaved seminar, and I didn't know what to do, but I couldn't see the next development, so it was just an experience. So I said, "I will participate" because it's okay if it doesn't work.

It was a shortcut to get closer to the dream of starting a business by learning what I learned at zenschool and the relationships I gained there.
Even if you jump out of a big company, you will have practical knowledge and methodologies to become a maker, and you will also have a reliable companion.

Before taking the course, I thought it would be better to take on the challenge of creating our own products on our own, and then take the course after practicing it. However, I decided to take the course again because I thought that it would be better to learn and practice with enmono rather than proceeding with development by myself. I may have been able to do it by myself, but I am happy that the speed has increased even more because I took the course.

Through the course, I would like you to realize that the business foundation of the Nakakomachi Factory will become the "best weapon" with strong originality and transmission power if it matches your own "story".
The various IT utilization methods taught in the course are gems that are rarely learned in large companies.

Q: Q:
"First of all, could you tell us what happened when you attended zenschool?"
A: A:
I feel that I decided to take the course as a result of various coincidences in the flow. First, read Chris Anderson's "MAKERS" at the beginning of 2013, and instead of developing limited products in a large organization, can you work with your own ideas and what you want to do? It was around the time I was thinking. In other words, can you work without carrying the signboard of a large company? That's right.
When I was worried about that, I found a report on the internet to commemorate the publication of "Let's start micro-manufacturing" and made a reservation. When I read this book, I strongly felt, "I want to work with these people. Maybe I can meet something exciting?"
I was able to participate in the final presentation of the 5th gen member, and I felt that it would be interesting. Normally, it ends here, but are you lucky? There was a recruitment for early retirement for executives at the previous company, and I decided to take a course in order to divide my career at the previous company and stand alone.
Q: Q:
"What has changed before and after attending zenschool?"
A: A:
I have experienced everything from software development planning to sales expansion, but I realized that in the small and medium-sized manufacturing industry, that experience is almost unapplicable. I guess you didn't look at it from the same perspective. I had some knowledge about Internet services such as crowdfunding, but it was a desk knowledge. By taking the course, I think that the knowledge has changed to a more grounded knowledge.
Q: Q:
"How did you proceed with product development after graduating from zenschool?"
A: A:
Like enmono and others, my business is to support small and medium-sized enterprises with innovation through micro-manufacturing in the Tokai area, but I can utilize my experience in IT to develop prototypes with customers and develop their own products. I am involved in a development project and am also active as a project member.
Basically, "I'm involved in an exciting project." By sharing goals with customers and advancing the project, we will expand the method and way of thinking of "micro-manufacturing" and develop with excitement for each other. I think that the real thrill of this work is here. ..
For your own business, the two of enmono are the mentors for doing business.
"What would you do with enmono-san?"
Q: Q:
What challenges did you face when you retired from a large company, and as a result, did you take the course?
A: A:
I had three major issues.
  • "I want to know what will remain if I remove the signboard of a large company from myself."
  • "What am I missing at that time?"
  • "How can I get the job done?"
The first problem has not been solved yet, but I thought that the second and third problems could be solved by taking a course.
And that was as expected.
Q: Q:
If you have any comments for other junior candidates, please.
A: A:
As I was, for everyone who is currently working as a salaryman and is aiming to start a business in manufacturing, "zenschool" and the person-to-person relationship that I got there was a shortcut to approach that dream. I want to tell you.
Even if you jump out of a big company, you will have practical knowledge and methodologies to become a maker, and you will also have a reliable companion.

Q: Q:
"First of all, could you tell us what happened when you attended zenschool?"
A: A:
Before taking the course, I thought it would be better to take on the challenge of creating our own products on our own, and then take the course after practicing it. However, after the earthquake in March 2011, I realized the importance of the connection between people, and decided to take the course again, thinking that it is better to learn and practice with enmono rather than proceeding with development by myself. did. I may have been able to do it by myself, but I am happy that the speed has increased even more because I took the course. (Please also refer to the voices of the students)
Q: Q:
"What has changed before and after attending zenschool?"
A: A:
During the course, I couldn't understand the questions of the two enmonos at all, and I gradually became able to understand them while having Mr. Fujisawa (Nitto Co., Ltd.) explain it. At the end of the course, it was about the 8th period, and after the idea of SpLink came to me, I was able to spare time while sleeping and proceed with commercialization at once. Until then, it was a sickening and frustrating day, but after I came up with SpLink, I was able to immerse myself in sleeping every day.
Q: Q:
"How did you proceed with product development after graduating from zenschool?"
A: A:
The two of enmono recommended that they be listed in the crowdfunding "zenmono" in order to accelerate the development of the products they created. I wanted to proceed with development and commercialize it as soon as possible, so I decided to post it. However, although I learned in lectures such as content production and press releases, I couldn't move forward because I couldn't remember the honest content. So, after consulting and helping Mr. Fujisawa and enmono, I was finally able to post it on zenmono.
However, as those who have experienced crowdfunding will understand, even if it was posted, support was not gathered and it was a very difficult day. I was really relieved to finally reach the goal by holding an event with the help of enmono-san so that I could get to know even a little. At the same time, I have come to feel the responsibility of having to respond to your support.
After zenmono was finished, I had a hard time making an instruction manual and making a package to commercialize it, but I would like to thank all the patrons safely (in zenmono, the price is called "thank you"). I was able to deliver it. In addition, I was interested in my efforts and published it in various media, so I received a voice from a major agency and handled SpLink in Loft, Tokyu Hands, Kiddy Land, etc. Thank you. And now we are looking for future developments.

Q: Q:
"First of all, could you tell us what happened when you attended zenschool?"
A: A:
When I was working for a home appliance maker for about four years, I happened to find enmono's site when I was doing a planning survey for a medium-term plan, and I was very interested in the activities. After that, when considering the launch in the maker's field with a certain company,
In Japan, I thought that "small and medium-sized manufacturing x collaboration x lean startup" would be one axis.
I decided to take this course in order to objectively organize what I can do in that context.
Q: Q:
"What has changed before and after attending zenschool?"
A: A:
Before taking the course, I think there was a great deal of anxiety about what the clerical staff can do and what can be output as output, even though they are from the manufacturing industry.
While taking the course, "micro-manufacturing" can be realized even if you are like me, who does not have a manufacturing base, if you have "feelings" and "preparations" that are directly linked to your own way of life, and you can also support them. I was strongly convinced that it would be a good business opportunity.
In that sense, the "Waku Waku Treasure Hunting Chart" of the course is very effective. Isn't it very effective as a training program for those who work for large companies?
Q: Q:
"How did you proceed with product development after graduating from zenschool?"
A: A:
In the end, I did some kind of service development and launch in a venture after graduation, rather than product development, but this would not have been possible without something like a "strong belief." thinking about. At times, while receiving advice and advice from Mr. Miki and Mr. Utsunomiya, we proceeded with the launch while always being aware of the roots of the "belief" that was extracted in the process of "zenschool."
In addition, it is psychologically supportive that the graduates of the course have the opportunity to challenge the unknown area of crowdfunding, see the success of the crowdfunding up close, and actually talk to them. I think it became.
Q: Q:
What challenges did you face when you retired from a large company, and as a result, did you take the course?
A: A:
I think that the goodness of a large company in terms of doing business is the combination of the leverage of individual ability and financial strength, and the tradition, creditworthiness and know-how that we have cultivated. However, I have faced several challenges within the company that, on the contrary, have become constraints and it is becoming difficult to create “exciting innovation”.
There was a time when I belonged to a management consulting firm because I wanted to solve such problems, but unfortunately it was not the approach I envisioned. Perhaps, I myself am not a business with scale or "entrepreneurship within a company" while utilizing such leverage, but a "longing" for doing business activities rooted in individuals and communities and having an impact on society with their output. I think there was something like.
I wonder if this "longing" part and the "environment where it is difficult to generate innovation in a large company (at that time)" caused a chemical reaction and led to the course (laughs).
Q: Q:
If you have any comments for other junior candidates, please.
A: A:
It's called "zenschool", but you don't have to worry about it at all.
What do you say, if you answer the "questions" of Mr. Miki and Mr. Utsunomiya from the bottom of your heart as "one person", I think that you will surely get satisfactory results.
And if the business foundation of the Nakakomachi factory matches your own "story", it will become the "best weapon" with strong originality and transmission power.
We hope that you will notice it through the course. As an aside, the various IT utilization methods taught in the course are gems that large companies do not learn much. Learn by all means!
